Understandable
Complex technology is explained in plain language, without reducing the content to buzzwords.
About us / Contact
Our founder and managing director makes AI understandable without hiding the technical reality.
Jan Janssens has worked in IT for 26 years, from technical support and system administration to architecture, automation and AI. He also taught IT and motor mechanics for a year in technical and vocational secondary education (ages 14 to 18). Today, as an independent consultant, he holds the role of Automation Architect and Design Authority within an international AI Competence Center.
His background lies in complex and regulated IT environments, where reliability, security and control are not optional concepts. He brings that experience to AI: not starting from hype or technology, but from a concrete problem, reliable data and a result that can be critically assessed.
Alongside his practical experience, he obtained a postgraduate degree in Applied AI with highest distinction. He is currently deepening his knowledge of data engineering and Databricks.
Within Byterider he develops and leads training courses and workshops that help people understand how AI and language models work. Not to turn everyone into an AI specialist, but so that pupils, teachers and professionals can use the technology responsibly and purposefully.
No magic, no hype and no FOMO. Understanding, practice and critical thinking instead.
Complex technology is explained in plain language, without reducing the content to buzzwords.
Participants work with recognisable examples and applications that match their age, education or field.
Alongside the possibilities, we also cover errors, limitations, privacy, responsibility and the need for human oversight.
